Wine Review: This orangish pink colored wine from California has a very unique label. It opens with a fragrant tangerine and strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused tangerine with notes of mild strawberry and watermelon. I also picked up hints of peach pit. The finish is dry and refreshing. This is a very nice everyday Rose. It is food friendly. I would pair it with a salmon burger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2015 SAVED Rose opens with aromas of light red fruit and rhubarb, accented by a hint of thyme and grapefruit zest. The mouthfeel is crisp and bone dry. Fruit flavors of grapefruit, ripe strawberry, and honeydew fill the mouth with a seamless transition from front to back. This wine pairs wonderfully with a salad of arugula and grapefruit with shaved parmesan cheese and light balsamic vinaigrette.
