Wine Review: This straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a gooseberry and lime bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, pleasantly acidic, round and a bit desiccated. The flavor profile is a tart gooseberry and fine mineral blend with notes of nectarine pit and saline. There is a hint of yellow grapefruit in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavor are nicely prolonged. This is a good hot day wine. Serve it slightly chilled at the beach. With food, pair it with oysters. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Juicy and bright, our 2019 Sauvignon Blanc opens with fresh cut grass, wet stone and key lime notes. The palate is spring like with balanced acidity that weaves in and out and leaves you wanting more. Raw or BBQ oysters will do just fine with this crowd-pleasing white wine from Mendocino.
