Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Santa Rita opens with a Marcona almond and white tea bouquet with hints of oyster shell and underripe pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, delicate, and fresh for a Chard. The flavor profile is a saline and lime blend with notes of chalky minerality, white tea, and toasted almond. We also detected hints of peach pit, light oak, and underripe pineapple. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this Chard with a chicken and wild mushroom ravioli in a mild cream sauce or with raw bar. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Floresta Chardonnay has a pale straw yellow color. The nose is very elegant, austere, and dry, dominated by white Flowers, aromas of citric fruits, white peach, and pear, with a mineral touch of stones. The palate is creamy, rich with smooth texture and a fresh acidity that accompanies it with a long finish giving it a beautiful tension.
