Wine Review: This medium garnet colored Cabernet Franc from Santa Rita opens with a tomato leaf and red bell pepper bouquet with hints of loam and black olive. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated mild acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, clean, bright, and savory. The flavor profile is a loam and green tomato blend with notes of black olive, black currant, and red bell pepper. We also detected hints of black tea. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for a while. The Panel would pair this Cab Franc with Hungarian goulash or with Steak au poivre. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our Floresta Cabernet Franc is a deep ruby red wine. The nose has a delicate aromatic intensity with notes of red fruit, some floral notes, spices, and dried herbs. The wood is behind, delivering very softly a layer of aromas such as cedar and wet forest. It is a broad and long wine that aims to show another dimension of Maipo, a more aromatic and floral style but with firm tannins that feel smooth with a good grip, delivering a wine with a long and fresh finish.
