Wine Review: This dark garnet colored red blend from Santa Rita opens with a gentle plum and faint black currant bouquet with hints of black olive, cedar, and dried tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and seamless. The flavor profile is a black cherry and cedar blend with notes of olive and black licorice. We also detected hints of blueberry, black pepper, and oolong tea. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. This red blend would pair well with well-marbled ribeye or with lamb lollipops. Enjoy – KWGTP
