Wine Review: This ruby colored Malbec from Santa Julia opens with a fragrant plum and red currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty plum and black cherry blend with very nicely integrated mild oak and minerality. There is a dash of black pepper mixed in as well. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This Malbec is a good value and would pair nicely with a salmon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark violet and brilliant purple colors. Good complexity in the nose with typical Malbec aromas of ripe fruits such as figs, plums, blackberries and marmalades. Notes of vanilla, tobacco, coffee and chocolate. Full-bodied red wine with sweet tannins, good structure and long finish.
