Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Santa Barbara opens with a mild lemon bouquet with a hint of gun flint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and fresh. The flavor profile is citrus based featuring tasty mild lemon with notes of minerality and hints of grapefruit and pineapple at the very end. The finish is rather refreshing for a Chard. This wine would pair well with chicken piccata. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: 2017 was a small crop year throughout California. Santa Barbara County had a small but very concentrated Chardonnay harvest resulting in a wine with intense fruit and flavor.
