Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hills opens with a plum and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is black cherry with notes of oak. I also detected hints of strawberry licorice, earth, black pepper and espresso. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Pinot would pair well with comfort foods. Slow cooked beef brisket comes to mind first. Enjoy - Ken
