Wine Review: This Pinot Noir was clearly the best deal to emerge from our big blind tasting. At $25 it is a steal. It is dark red colored and opens with a mild strawberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a cherry cola with notes of red currant and cinnamon. The panel also detected a touch of red grape, black pepper and oak. It was pretty complex for a $25 Pinot. The finish is dry and it fades away nicely. The panel felt this wine was very food friendly and versatile. The suggested pair this wine with a veal chop or fresh sliced Norwegian salmon with a lemon dill remoulade. Enjoy – KWGTP
