Wine Review: I recently visited this winery in St. Augustine, Florida. They make this wine is California and then ship it to Florida for bottling. I found this "Napa" Cabernet Sauvignon to be translucent and light ruby colored. It opens with a tobacco and craisin bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. On the palate, this wine is balanced, round, and delicate for a Cab. The flavor profile is a tobacco influenced black cherry with notes of stony minerality and oak. I also detected hints of oolong tea. The finish is very dry, and its flavors and dusty tannins are sticky and last for a while. I would pair this Cab with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine has a rich garnet color with a lovely plum nose and dense fruit with layers of complexity. Hints of mocha, vanilla, and blackberry envelop the fruit with a ripe entry of cherries and cassis showcasing a full, well-structured palate.
