Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Sangiovese based wine opens with a dried cherry and teaberry bouquet with a hint of cinnamon and tar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is an oregano, sun dried tomato and dried strawberry blend with notes of cedar and black tea. I also detected a hint of cherry and clay. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins and flavors are nicely sustained. I would pair this wine with steak pizzaiola. Enjoy - Ken
