Wine Review: This opaque and brick red colored Brunello is fantastic. It opens with a black cherry, cedar and blueberry bouquet with hints of pipe tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very well-balanced. It is also very smooth and has a wonderful mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a delicious mild cedar influenced gentle cherry and red plum blend. There is nicely integrated fine-grained stony minerality throughout along with hints a cinnamon and dried herbs. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. I would pair this Excellent Brunello with slow-cooked, fall off the bone braised beef short ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red. Offers up aromas of well-ripened wild berries, blackberry preserves, tobacco leaf, and tanned leather. An expansive, generous palate displays a rich mouthfeel, developing into a lengthy finale marked by fruit liquor. Pairs perfectly with a wide range of meats, particularly game and boar, and with aged pecorino cheese.
