Wine Review: This dark red colored wine from San Felice opens with a cherry and cranberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced tart cherry with nicely integrated minerality. I also detected hints of black plum, faint minerality and a touch of blueberry. The finish is dry and its cedar influenced flavors and mild acidity and tannins drift away nicely. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with Italian braciole. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red, while its full bouquet releases fragrances that linger beautifully, with scents of sweet violets that meld into smooth, spicy impressions of tobacco leaf. This is a full-bodied red, velvety smooth and marked by ripe succulent tannins that are harmoniously integrated with the acidity. Perfect with wild game, roasted and grilled meats, as well as well-aged cheeses.
