Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Malbec opens with a funky barnyard bouquet. We also detected hints of red cherry, moist pipe tobacco and coffee grounds. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and has rounded edges. The flavor profile is oak influenced red plum with notes of graphite, nutmeg and hint of sage and dried red cherry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build-up and linger nicely. The Panel would pair this Malbec with steak fajitas or a veggie pizza. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Color: Medium ruby.
Nose: Ripe plums, cherries and blackberries are complemented by a hint of tobacco.
Palate: A balanced and complex wine with flavors of redcurrants, black cherries and cinnamon.
Serving Suggestions: Well-matched with barbecued meats, robust pasta entrées, baked ham, pork chops and sharp cheese.
