Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah and Grenache blend from France opens with a black raspberry and black plum bouquet with notes of wet stone and vanilla-cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and juicy. The flavor profile is a clove laced mild strawberry and stony minerality blend with notes black plum and black pepper. I also picked up some hints of blackberry and licorice. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins linger nicely. This very good value red offering from France is a nice mid-week offering. I would pair it with your favorite burger off the grill. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A selection of grapes from the Hérault region, South of France, between Pezenas and Béziers. It displays notes of red fruits, strawberries, and cherries. Round, crunchy, good length, and great freshness. Ideal with a generous helping of vintage Rolling Stones, "I am the little red rooster too lazy to crow for days!"
