Wine Review: This wine is an absolute WOW wine. If you love German Rieslings, run to your retailer and buy every bottle you can get. This pale yellow colored Riesling opens with a mild lime and gentle wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and beautifully balanced between its pleasant sweetness and perfectly integrated acidity. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe Anjou pear with notes of peach and a hint of apricot and lime. The finish is a pleasantly sweet and refreshing. If you can find this wine, buy all you can as it is a steal for $31. It went perfectly with my Jonah crab cakes at the Sea Grille. I would also pair it with Coquille St. Jacques. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright, vibrant gold color. Delicate aromas of rose petals and citrus fruit. Full-bodied, with flavors of pear and nectarine mingling with mineral nuances and culminating in a long finish. Delicious with lobster, shrimp and spicy Thai-style dishes, as well as blue cheeses, creamy cheeses, apple pie and fresh fruit.
