Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Chard opens with a musty oak, mild apricot, and golden delicious apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a heavily oak influenced pear with notes of vanilla and almond. There is also a hint of tangerine and minerals mixed in that make it even more complex. The finish is rather dry and a touch austere. This is a Chard for true oak lovers. I would pair it with chicken, penne, and broccoli in a white cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This Burgundian-style barrel-fermented Chardonnay possesses an alluring flinty/minerally quality and loads of finesse. It’s packed with aromas and flavors of apple, citrus, and fig as well as plenty of toasty, nutty nuance imparted by the well-integrated oak.
