Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Tempranillo blend opens with blackberry, fig, and licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and juicy. The flavor profile is a dark chocolate and gentle black plum blend with notes of nicely integrated minerality and fig. I also detected some hints of smoked meat stick and cedar in the after taste. The finish is dry and its mild tannins fade away nicely. This easy to drink red wine from Portugal is a good value. Pair it with grilled meats. I enjoy it with a dry rubbed ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fruity aromas with very elegant yet discreet minerality. Berries and spices, with a fresh, fruity lasting finish. The soul of this wine lies in the unique combination of the Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz grape varieties. Enjoy with lamb dishes, appetizers, cheeses, pastas, and Mediterranean cuisine.
