Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine from Ruffino black cherry and cedar box bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a tart black cherry and cedar blend with notes of flinty minerality. I also detected hints of oregano and faint plum. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins fade away nicely. This Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Riserva offering would pair well with veal parmigiana. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Ruby red with garnet hues
Aroma: Powerfully aromatic with cherry, plum, and tobacco with notes of eucalyptus, chocolate, and spicy white pepper. Complexity of expression authentic to Sangiovese and Chianti Classico.
Tasting profile: Full-bodied and powerfully fruity with elegant tannins perfectly supported by a good acidity. The finish is characterized by pleasantly sweet tobacco, plums, and balsamic herbs.
