Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cab opens with an interesting cranberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and shows nicely integrated acidity. The flavor profile is a juicy black cherry with notes of blueberry and a little spice. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger for some time. This wine would pair well with meat lasagna. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Roth Cabernet Sauvignon is an expression of its origins. The 2006 vintage delivers the deep fruit and firm tannins characteristic of Alexander Valley's southern sub-appelation. Blackberry, black cherry, and cranberry characters, accented by hints of anise, cola, and nutmeg that carry over the long finish. This hand crafted, fruit forward wine is ready to drink upon release, yet will benefit 3-5 years aging.
