Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a blackberry jam and boysenberry bouquet with hints smoked meat stick and leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, velvety smooth and a little juicy. The flavor profile is blackberry jam and boysenberry blend with hints of stewed plum, black licorice and gentle oak. The finish is dry and moderate tannins are nicely extended. The Panel would enjoy this polished and Excellent Cab on its own. With food we think it would pair well with chateaubriand. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This elegantly balanced wine is deep and dark with a purple hue. Aromas of black cherry and red currant combine seamlessly with sweet notes of spice and baked pie crust. The full and lush palate is highlighted by dark cherry and spice that gives way to hints of tobacco and vanilla. Finely structured ripe tannins are balanced by a lift of acidity, that gives this wine an impressive finish that lingers.
