Wine Review: This white gold colored Viognier from Condrieu opens with a ripe peach bouquet with hints of orange peel and lemon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, velvety and viscous. The flavor profile is apricot and honey blend with notes of guava, green fig and green tea, I also detected a touch of anise. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger and last for quite some time. I would serve this Viognier with veal saltimbocca with prosciutto and sage. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Aged in oak barrels for 6 months, light filtration before bottling. Bright golden yellow robe. Nose of great purity combining notes floral, ripe apricot, mineral dimension. On the palate, a remarkable breadth, a silky texture, an airy style with chiseled aromas. It can be drunk young and can age for six years. It will be enjoyed very fresh as an aperitif. It can also accompany foie gras or chicken with morels.
