Wine Review: This orangish coral colored Sparkling Wine from Anderson Valley opens with lots of random tiny bubbles. The bouquet includes peach and strawberry with notes of lime and walnut. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel has a pleasant froth and is nicely balanced. Its acidity is fresh and bright. The flavor profile is a slightly tart lime and walnut blend with notes of red plum and green tea. I also detected hints of lingonberry. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this very good Rose sparkler with chilled shrimp cocktail. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Roederer Estate Rosé is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It is full and round with smooth flavors and fine persistent bubbles. The extra measure of Pinot Noir contributes elegance and austerity, which balance nicely with the delicate fruitiness of the Chardonnay.
