Wine Review: In the glass, this approachable Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a translucent medium red color with aromas of black plum, smoked meat, cranberry, mushroom, allspice, and toasted sourdough bread. Straightforward and delicate on the palate, there's a velvety, slightly round mouthfeel with medium acidity, and a medium body. I found flavors of cranberry, red plum, toasty oak, and cola, along with notes of red cherry and clove. It has light tannins and a dry moderate finish. Serve with grilled turkey thighs and garlic mashed. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: Complex aromas of ripe plum, forest floor, black truffle, barrel toast and fireplace embers lead to a silky rich mouthfeel with ripe cherry and red plum flavors over cured meat and dark toasted oak. Acidity plays on the palate the whole time but appears more on the finish with a touch of fine tannins and a kiss of espresso.
