Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Rodney Strong opens with a fragrant strawberry and vanilla bouquet with hints of maraschino cherry and grenadine. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, gentle, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a mild red cherry Jolly Rancher and candied violets blend with notes of vanilla and black currant. I also detected hints of cedar and a touch of R.C. Cola. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed tannins fade away nicely. I would pair this fruity Cab with a pan-seared duck breast. Enjoy - Ken
