Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Rodney Strong opens with a mild black currant and black cherry bouquet with hints of cedar and cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and very bright for a Cab. The flavor profile is black currant and cedar blend with notes of black tea and stony minerality. I also detected hints of black cherry and loam. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins and flavors are nicely extended. This Cab should be decanted in the near term and would pair well with grilled skirt steak. Enjoy - Ken
