Wine Review: This pale ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a ripe black raspberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of wet oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The flavor profile is a red plum and black raspberry jam blend with notes of vanilla, oak and black pepper. We also detected some hot cinnamon and cherry licorice in the after taste. The finish is dry and its flavors and light balanced tannins linger nicely. This wine would pair well with a charcuterie platter or with barbecue pulled pork on a toasted bun. Enjoy – Ken and Joe
Winemaker Notes: Fresh, bright berry fruit from our heritage Russian River vineyard, combined with the ripe, peppery jam from our Alexander Valley and Dry Creek vineyards, make for a wonderful diversity of flavor, showcasing the best that Zinfandel can offer. This wine offers notes of blackberry, plum and boysenberry with a touch of red fruit jam and creamy vanilla.
