Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Rodney Strong opens with a blueberry bouquet with a hint of black currant, molasses and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and soft. The flavor profile is a gentle black cherry, oak and chalky minerality blend with notes of cocoa powder and blackberry. We also detected hints of black licorice and espresso towards the end. The finish is dry and its tingly acidity, chalky minerality and flavors are nicely prolonged and linger. This wine would pair well with fall off the bone ribs or tender marinated steak tips. Enjoy – Ken & Rick
Winemaker Notes: The 2016 Symmetry has luxurious aromas of red fruit, plum, vanilla, dusty oak and dried fruit which unfold on the palate with silky layers of dark fruits, baking spices and a supple rich mouthfeel. This wine is harmonious and elegant with refined tannins and a long, lingering finish. Enjoy this wine now with beef stew.
