Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a faint black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and shows nice finesse and fruit. The flavor profile is a mild plum and black raspberry blend with nicely integrated oak and minerality. I also detected hints of red cherry and a lingering anise spice in the end. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. This wine definitely opens up with aeration, so decanting is a must. I would serve it with a well marbled ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2012 Alexander's Crown exhibits ripe flavors of black cherry, plum and violets. The wine is voluptuous, has a rich mouthfeel, soft tannins and a long lingering finish with a touch of mocha. Enjoy this wine now or cellar it for enjoyment in 8 to 10 years.
