Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Rock Wall is very nice. It opens with a fragrant lemon and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, round and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a tasty oak influenced pear and green apple blend with notes of butter and spice. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard will appeal to fans of this style. I would pair it with chicken and wild mushroom raviolis with a light butter cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2016 vintage is my Mom Kathy's favorite vintage of this wine! To Mama, Chardonnay is BAE, so that is quite a compliment. Aromas of French vanilla ice cream, pear eau de vie and apple pie are followed by flavors of Fuji apple, Asian pear, a hint of spiced eggnog and caramel.
