Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Zinfandel opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet with a hint of boysenberry and molasses. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a tasty flinty mineral and blackberry blend with notes of black licorice and stewed plums. I also detected hints of black tea and boysenberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and flavors have nice length. I would serve it with duck confit crostini. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This unmistakable Zinfandel is from two awesome Zinfandel vineyards located in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. Aromatic salutations of black raspberry, espresso, dried tobacco, cinnamon, and white pepper emerge from the glass accompanied by flavors of cherry pie, blackberry cobbler, lavender and a cacao finish.
