Wine Review: This clean and easy drinking Riesling from the Rheingau region of Germany is a pale straw color. It shows aromas of fresh apricot, beeswax, wet slate, honeydew, and sea breeze. On the palate, this wine displays an off-dry sweetness and is round. It is well-balanced and medium bodied, with moderate racy acidity. The flavors include a blend of honeyed white peach, flint, and roasted lime with notes of spicy ginger and saline. The finish is zesty and refreshing. A second glass comes quickly, especially when served with Thai drunken noodles with shrimp. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: A delightfully lively and charming Riesling from Germany’s Rhine valley, made in the delicate, lower-alcohol Kabinett style. The estate-grown Riesling Kabinett is made to showcase the traditional, lighter style of Riesling. It is sourced from cooler, higher-elevation parcels adjacent to the estate’s classified single-vineyard sites. But it also includes fruit from pre-selections in the top sites, which gives the wine an extra dimension of fruit and mineral intensity. The Riesling Kabinett is light and lovely, with lush exotic fruit aromas and a poised balance of bright acidity and lacy natural sweetness.
