Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from Robert Weil opens with a fragrant petrol, bee’s wax and ginger bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with plus acidity and pleasant sweetness. The flavor profile is a chalky mineral infused ripe green apple with notes of ginger and lime zest. I also detected hints of saline, pink grapefruit and pineapple. It has pretty complex flavors for an entry level wine. The finish remains sweet and fades away nicely. This Riesling would pair nicely with almond macaroons. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The estate-grown Riesling "Tradition" is a classic rendition of the traditional off-dry style that made the Rheingau famous. A versatile partner at the dinner table, it has an alluring and delicate touch of sweetness paired with tantalizing fruit aromas. It dances on your palate in a perfect pirouette of charm and elegance.
