Wine Review: This almost clear colored Dry Riesling from Robert Weil opens with a mild matchstick and faint wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, zippy, acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced light lemon and grapefruit with a touch of Anjou pear. The finish is dry and very refreshing. I would pair this Riesling with oysters. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Robert Weil line of estate wines begins with this medium-bodied dry Riesling that shows the typical density and power of the Rheingau region, but is more affordable than the ultra-classy single-vineyard wines. The 2015 Riesling Trocken is pure and intense, with a stony richness and a lively, well-balanced structure.
