Wine Review: This almost clear colored Spatlese level Rielsing from Robert Weil was very well received by the Tasting Panel. It opens with a mild Spite soda bouquet with hints of peach and red pear. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and pleasantly sweet. The flavor profile is a delicious mild minerality and pineapple blend with notes of light lemon and a dash of white pepper. The finish is sweet and it fades away nicely. The Panel thought this Riesling was perfectly fine to sip on its own. However, if you want to try it would food, we would suggest a Waldorf salad with grilled chicken or a grilled tuna steak with a mango salsa. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Estate Spatlese is made with the same exacting standards and meticulous attention to detail as the single vineyard wines, and is designed to showcase Spatlese's riper, richer style from late-picked fruit. The 2016 Spatlese is rich and concentrated, but not heavy. Superb acidity gives it a refreshing, nearly dry finish.
