Wine Review: This deep mahogany colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a black cherry and bay leaf bouquet with hints beef gravy and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, deep, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a gentle blackberry and crushed stone blend with notes of toasted oak, black licorice, cassis. We also detected hint of stewed black plum and black tea. The finish is dry, and its well-managed tannins are very extended. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with New York strip steak or a rib roast. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Aroma: Ripe black plum, currant, molasses ginger cookie, vanilla, fennel & nutmeg.
Taste: Black plum, blackberry, sweet licorice & caraway seeds.
Pairing: Short rib risotto and steak salad
