Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Mondavi opens with a blackberry, wet stone, and black cherry bouquet with hints of lavender and dried herbs. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild mineral influenced black currant, blackberry, and black plum blend with hints of black tea and espresso powder. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins are nicely extended. The Panel suggested pairing this Cab with a veal chop or beef brisket. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A beautiful nose redolent of fresh, ripe blackberry and black plum jam, gently framed by notes of dried thyme and toast. On the palate, the wine is full and juicy, brimming with more black fruit and touches of bittersweet chocolate, mint, and dried straw. Generous and harmonious, with velvety tannins and a long, smooth finish.
