Wine Review: This light-yellow colored Chardonnay from Bob Foley opens with a fragrant pineapple and lemon verbena bouquet with hints of chalky minerality and banana. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright and fresh. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality and light lemon blend with notes of white peach and gentle pineapple. I also detected hints of banana, white pepper, and white tea. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this Chard with broiled sea scallops in a lemon, butter, and sherry sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2022 vintage Chardonnay grown in Napa's Oak Knoll District displays a beautiful aromatic medley of peach, honeysuckle, and green apple character. Natural acidity is abundant, fresh, and crisp and perfectly balances a wonderfully flavorful body on the palate. The finish is fresh and long and beckons another taste. This non-malolactic, and minimally oaked white wine is reminiscent of Chardonnay that is produced in the Chablis and Macon regions of France. [5% new oak]
