Wine Review: This deep copper colored wine from Robert Foley opens with a with crushed stone and black raspberry bouquet with hints of strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and approachable. The flavor profile is a mild wild strawberry and gentle red raspberry blend with notes of mild minerality. I also picked up some hints of maraschino cherry and watermelon. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this quaffable Rose with shrimp scampi. The best news is Kelly still has 140 cases left and she needs to clear space in the cellar. You can get this tasty wine for only $10 a bottle! Hurry, before Bob drinks it all! Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A light blush salmon hue sparkles in our new issue of the Hawksbill Rosé, named for the sea turtles in the Caribbean. Cabernet, Merlot, and Pinot Noir grapes were lightly pressed, and the fresh juice fermented to produce this light, crisp delight. The flavors of ripe fresh strawberry linger long on the palate with ample acidity to leave your mouth watering for another sip. It's always Rosé season!
