Wine Review: This pale white gold colored Chardonnay opens with a fragrant white peach and pineapple bouquet with hints of cantaloupe, lemon meringue, and banana. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, crisp, and fresh. The flavor profile is tart stone fruit, honeydew melon and green apple blend with notes of gentle crushed stone minerality and lemon curd. Hints of, guava, pineapple, and banana. The finish is dry and subtly fades away. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with linguini with clam sauce, oysters, or crab legs. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This un-oaked Chardonnay from Oak Knoll presents enticing aromas of fruit salad with the character of banana and peach and hints of honeysuckle and jasmine flowers. The acidity is bright and carries the fruit across the palate. The balance of this non-malolactic white wine is reminiscent of Chardonnays produced in the Chablis and Maconnaise regions of France and will continue to evolve for many years to come.
