Wine Review: This deep purple colored Merlot from Robert Foley is Excellent! It opens with a currant and leather bouquet with hints of cedar, wet stone, and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, rich, and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is cassis and Tootsie roll blend with notes of clove, red licorice, black cherry, and cedar. We also detected hints of nutmeg, and spice drop. It's pretty complex! The finish is dry, and its refined tannins, acidity and flavors are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would pair this Merlot with well-marbled prime ribeye steak. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2018 vintage Napa Valley Merlot draws on the intensity and structure of mountain-grown fruit coupled with the soft richness of lower elevation Merlot to provide a perfect texture.
