Wine Review: This dark purple colored Charbono opens with a new leather, charcoal, and ripe black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated acidity. The mouthfeel balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a cedar, crush stone and blackberry blend with notes of black cherry. I also detected hints of cardamom and gentle fig mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Charbono with Jiko's wild boar. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Ripe raspberry aromas soar from the glass with a hint of must and camphor. A gentle mid-palate carries these flavors, which then resolve in very soft tannins. The lower alcohol level unveils a tangy acidity and thorough ripeness in perfect balance producing a long lingering finish. This is a very versatile food wine.
