Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from Robert Foley opens with a raisin and plum bouquet with hints of oregano and moist pipe tobacco. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, quite smooth, and velvety. The flavor profile is blueberry and chocolate blend with notes of black tea. We also detected some hints of black licorice and a touch of heat. The finish is dry and its tannins build-up and last forever. The Panel would prefer this Petite Sirah on its own with a Cuban cigar by the fire pit. With food, they would try Brie with blueberry preserves or a funky cheese. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine is 100% varietal Petite Sirah. It is as dark as can be with utterly ripe blackberry-pie aromatics. On the palate, it's full, round, and massive, but with an elegant finish, fine tannins, and nothing overly gripping.
