Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Robert Foley opens with a tomato leaf, metal shavings, and black cherry bouquet with hints of new leather, cinnamon, and prune. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and clean. The flavor profile is black plum and hibiscus tea blend with notes loam and red raspberry. We also detected some hints of red cherry and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with plum and five spiced glazed turkey with plum gravy. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Medium dark in color, aromas of red cherry and raspberry fruit combine with a spicy note reminiscent of caraway. Lively natural acidity frames the velvety mid-palate which delivers the bright fruit flavors in a super-soft lingering finish.
