Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a black cherry and blackberry bouquet with hint of pencil lead. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is bold, round, and lush. The flavor profile is graphite and stewed black plum blend with notes of oak and blueberry. We also detected hints of dried herbs mixed in. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins linger and last for quite a while. The Panel would pair this Cab with a New York strip steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Robert Foley's flagship wine, Claret is our left-bank Bordeaux blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Ripe black cherry aromas mingle with a hint of camphor. Finely balanced extract, alcohol and natural acidity coat the palate with flavors and gentle tannin. In our assessment, this is our most elegant wine. Drinkable now, and it will only get better with time.
