Wine Review: This opaque purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Robert Foley opens fragrant black cherry, stewed plum and crusted gravel bouquet with hints of blueberry, black licorice and dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, rich and concentrated. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and spicy plum blend with notes of gentle oak and minerality. I also detected hints of blackberry and black coffee mixed in. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins linger and last for quite a while. I would suggest pairing this very good Claret with a well-marbled ribeye or short ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A most intoxicating aroma of black cherry and ripe berry open with elegant complexity. On the palate, a lushness coats the entire palate with ripe delicious flavors and fine tannins that finish long, again with perfectly balanced natural mountain fruit acidity.
