Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Petite Sirah opens with a ripe red plum and pine tar bouquet with hints of cherry pie and cranberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, lush, and juicy. The flavor profile is blackberry and red plum blend with notes of chocolate cake, spice, and oak. We also detected a hint of iced tea. The finish is dry and its tannins build-up and stick around for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Petite Sirah with braised short ribs or mole chicken with chocolate mousse for dessert. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A deep, blackish blue color profile with aromas of currants, red plum, quince, violets, figs, molasses, and blackberry. Medium bodied with a broad mid-palate structure that builds to complex layers of texture and flavors. The oak profile integrates the fruit and tannins which are wide grained and lead to a long, lingering finish.
