Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel from Coombsville opens with a black cherry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of tobacco leaf and. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with nicely integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is round and very nicely balanced for a Zin. The flavor profile is a tasty spiced black plum and cranberry blend with notes with notes of gentle boysenberry and oak. We also detected hints of black cherry-cola, and faint chalky minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins fade away nicely. This Zin would pair well with pork chops with cherry pan sauce or blue-ribbon barbeque. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A full bodied entry with rich and savory aromas. Blackberries, pink taffy, blueberries, and soy. This wine is nicely balanced with deep mid-palate fruit, fresh acidity and dusty tannins. This is a very age-worthy wine which will continue to improve for the next 5-7 years.
