Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Petite Sirah opens with a stewed red plum and mulberry bouquet with hints of black tea, shoe leather, and spearmint. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced and silky smooth. The flavor profile is mild blueberry and dark chocolate blend with notes of boysenberry and coffee. We also detected hints of crushed stone, mild oak and spearmint. The finish is rather dry, and its big tannins stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this big boy Petite Sirah with well-marbled ribeye or Roy's rib roast. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep saturated purple color with dusty notes of minerality, blackberry cobbler, blueberry, violets, lychee, guava, and currant. The full, broad tannin structure of this Petite Sirah leads to a long, lingering finish. Pleasurable now and built for the long haul – optimal drinking is 5-8 years.
