Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Zinfandel from Biale opens with a mild black cherry-cola and vanilla bouquet with hints of shortbread. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is soft, smooth, clean, and very well-balanced. The flavor profile is a very tasty cherry and red raspberry tea blend with notes of chalky minerality. We also detected hints of vanilla, toasted oak, and teaberry gum in the mix. The finish is dry and its fine polished tannins build-up and drift away for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would suggest pairing it with mushroom risotto or coq au vin. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of mango, orange zest, Bing cherry, taffy, violets, lavender, and vanilla bean. This wine displays a lively entrance with great minerality, zest, and natural acidity. The mountain tannins assure us that this wine will age gracefully.
